Yesterday, Ellen Pelstring, President and Erica Viola, Director of Marketing at the BOW Group supported the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Virginia at the 5th Annual Charity Golf Event at Riverfront Golf Course in Suffolk, Virginia.  The BOW Group lent its hand to the planning committee this year offering marketing and planning efforts to ensure a successful fundraiser for the famous organization.

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets.  An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care of supervision.  Young people need to know someone cares about them and Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more.    Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence.  The Southeastern Virginia Club is providing these opportunities for the kids of our neighborhoods, and our future business people on a regular basis.

Area business partners joined forces to raise money and network at Riverfront, the weather was cloudy but the moods were bright.  “It was a beautiful day.  What great support the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Virginia received from the Hampton Roads Community.  Investing in our youth is laying the foundation for success,” Ellen expressed her reasons for involvement after her experience.

Joining together with like minded people who are community focused is in large portion of the work done at The BOW Group.  Relationship is important and joining forces to help our community is something each member of the team at BOW make sure is active in their personal and professional life.

Erica spent weeks with the board designing brochures, marketing material for sponsorships, communicating planning needs, and meeting with the team leading up the event to ensure its success.  “I love talking to people who are 100% committed to working with the children of this organization and the great educational aspects that it entails.”   All-in-all the day was  a success and The BOW Group was grateful to be a part of its success.
